Porteau Cove Homes and Real Estate

A Planned Development

Porteau Cove Lands Cropped

A master planned community by Concord Pacific and The Squamish Nation

Combining a mix of Single Family "Fee Simple" Building Lots, Multi-Family Residential, Mixed-Use (Commercial, Rental and Multi-Family), a Community Facility and Public Park space.

Project Location

The Porteau Cove Development is located South of Porteau Cove Provincial Park overlooking beautiful Howe Sound on the Sea To Sky corridor.  The site is approximately 1,177 acres in size and is bisected by the Sea To Sky highway.  The CN Rail Line marks the South and West boundary of the site.  The site is located at the far Southern boundary of the Squamish Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) directly adjacent to Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) jurisdiction.

Key Features of the Development

  • 62% of the development site will remain undeveloped
  • Much of the site will offer spectacular Views of Howe Sound (Ocean) and the Coastal mountains
  • An overpass is proposed to provide access to and from the development
  • 1,400 units are currently proposed that would support an estimated population of 3,000 to 3,500
  • Amenities planned include trail enhancement, trail head access, public parks, natural open space, community facility, and retail services
  • Development is planned to take place over a 10 to 15 year timeframe

Project Timing

The Developers are adhering to the development process which involves Public Open Houses, Public Hearings now completed, and Environmental Impact Studies (submitted), before Development Permits will be issued.

A preliminary study of potable water sustainability has been completed and submitted to the Squamish Lillooet Regional District (SLRD). The SLRD has given 3rd and final reading of the By-law and the project can now move forward.

The SLRD By-Law amends the Electoral Area D Official Community Plan to ensure the proposed development adheres to stringent Land Use and Sustainability principles.

Note:  The aforementioned information was obtained from recent Public Hearings and Open Houses hosted by the developer.

Please visit my website from time to time for updates.

The Project

The developer has declared the project will consist of up to 1,400 homes including condominiums, villas, townhomes and single family building lots.
